Pastor’s Letter – March 16, 2020

Dear Parishioners,

Bishop Crosby has cancelled weekday and Sunday Masses throughout the diocese until further notice.

He has, however, given us permission to keep our Adoration ministry going, provided that there are no more than 10 people present in the church at a time. I’m very grateful. Although we can’t gather as a parish community to celebrate Mass, we will continue to pray at a time when prayer is very much needed. To this end, Adoration will begin at 7:45 pm on Tuesday with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and end at 8:00am on Friday with Benediction. The church will be open during this time for private prayer, provided, as I said, there are no more than 10 people present. When you enter the church, have a look around to make sure the limit hasn’t been reached. Let us pray for one another.

Stations of the Cross will take place this Friday at 7:00 pm with a maximum of 10 people. It will be on a “first come, first serve” basis. I feeling badly about this. But I thought it would be better than cancelling it outright. Feel free to do the Stations privately during Adoration hours.

The parish office will be closed until further notice.

If you need me for anything, including confession, please send me an e-mail at: mmorley @hamiltondiocese.com or call me at: 519-856-4711.

As we continue to observe Lent in this time of trial, be assured of God’s merciful love. And be sure to love your neighbour.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

Fr. Mark Morley
